Good Job Kareena!

I know this is old news, but it is one of those things that randomly struck me in the gym the other day. A woman was walking into one of the showers, confidently strutting her bottle of “head and shoulders,” and as I caught I glimpse of it, I couldn’t help but let out a “Pfffft!” She swung her head back, almost as if to look down at me, (to be fair, she was pretty tall) and walked away.

For some reason, I thought to myself, “Hey, doesn’t Kareena, what’s her face endorse this product?” And the thought followed, “Wait a second. Wasn’t she also handed some ridiculously named award from PETA a while ago?”

That does not quite make sense. I mean how does that work? Did PETA manage to somehow skim over the fact that Madam K (thats what I am calling her) is strutting her stuff all over the country, supporting P&G? The same company the organization is very much against?

I guess this goes to show, when money is in question, and profit and popularity are at stake, who cares about morals. Furthermore, who cares about the sole purpose an organization is at fore for. If PETA can somehow gain popularity by adding a famous name to its work then so be it. And if that name just so happens to support the same company, the organization is fighting based on its beliefs, well then- there is definitely a dilemma at stake.

And IF (the biggest IF) Madame K can not realize for herself what sort of conflicted message she is sending to the public because she has inhaled too many fumes from her lifelong french manicures, then who are we to judge? Or are we in a position to? This makes me question, PETA, companies at large and the profits they accumulate (because when is it not about that!?) and the land of oblivion in which some people reside.

Good Job Madame K! Hats off to a true humanitarian.
