There is no great way of hearing about an injury. Especially when they are severe. No matter how it phrased or presented, lets just admit it. It fucking sucks. Not too long ago, I began to truly identify as a powerlifter and desired to be in the league of some of the greats in the sport.
While I prepped for a competition a few weeks ago, something unexpected happened. I wound up with a serious back injury keeping from even lifting a grocery bag for a few weeks. I could barely stand, sitting felt like torture and laying down, while helpful, made me feel useless. (more…)
